Gunther

Gunther needs a reputable foster based rescue (preferably with no cats). I currently have 10 indoor cats, so it can be done, but with proper safety precautions. He gets along with all 4 of my personal dogs (seniors, two of which are so cranky towards him and he always loves on them every time).

Fun facts about Gunther: He’s 1&1/2 – 2 years old, neutered, UTD with shots, incredibly submissive, goofy, loves to play with other dogs and by himself, comes when called, knows how to sit and give paw, loves car rides, loves to be around you when you’re indoors or outside, he’s like a giant pillow when you’re laying down, loves to be cuddled, expert at playing hide-and-seek, great for a family with kids, or large dog so he can play with, he loves to look at himself in the mirror , he loves the water, and so many more beautiful things. He’s an amazing boy!

Interesting facts about Gunther: I only crated him twice. The first time was when he was neutered and he got out of the crate in less than 2 minutes, wearing the cone of shame and all. The second time was just because I wanted to see him do it! Lol he’s just so smart. I think he has Houdini blood. When Gunther is redirected for his tricky behaviors, he stops them. He demonstrates an understanding that he’s not allowed to do it. For example, he learned how to unlock the laundry room door and he stopped when I intervened. He’s a good boy and picks up on your tones and words!

I’ve worked so hard with Gunther just to get him out of his shell and to trust that he is safe. When I found him he was infested with fleas, had petroleum oil all over his back, he was absolutely terrified just to enter in the house and car, he would cower down as if I was going to strike him, he would face the corner and hide, he would become dead weight and just whimper. Gaining his trust took a lot of patience and dedicated time just for him to come around. He knows I protect him and love him.  He’s a completely different dog since January. He smiles, he trusts, he plays, he interacts, he has learned to be a dog again. I’m so in love with my sweet Gunther and am praying for an amazing foster based rescue to step up for my big, lovable baby.

Duke

Donate Now

Duke is a ghost dog who is now severely injured. He has been a part of a group of homeless, roaming dogs who disappear in and out of our lives. For the last 2 1/2 years, we have tried to keep Duke and his pack alive by leaving food out for them. Duke has been alone, unloved, and terrified during this time. He has had no trust in people, his tail didn’t wag, and there was a deep sadness in his eyes. Duke was completely defeated. Duke and his pack started roaming more frequently in the past few months because their “safe” place (a trash pile in a patch of tall grass) has been under construction. Most recently, Duke was hit by a car and severely injured. He found a place to hide under a metal container for about a week, which is where we found him. When we brought Duke into safety, we learned that in addition to his exterior degradation, he is also heartworm positive. From the accident, his leg is also severely damaged and needs to be amputated. Duke has now spent about three months at the hospital. We are now asking you for support to help Duke recover and heal — to live the life he so deserves. Between his heartworm treatment, vaccines, fecal, deworming and boarding, his bill is $4,500, but now with the necessary amputation and wheelchair, we will need to spend another $2,500. We promised Duke that we are going to heal his body and soul, and we are adamant to keep that promise. Duke is a true survivor and has an amazing will to live. Please consider supporting his recovery by donating anything you can towards his medical bills or buying a gift off of his wishlist registry. He deserves to live a happy and healthy rest of his life.

Snow

Snow is a rockpit survivor. This incredible girl is about 3 yrs old and is very grateful and loving. She was found in a dumping ground…a place where unwanted pets are left to fend for themselves. Snow was found dirty, hungry and begging for someone to help her. She has been vetted and is being loved and cared for. At this time, she needs a rescue that can help her find her furever home…a rescue that understands what she has endured. She gets along great with other dogs and is a sweetheart. Snow is 83lbs of pure love!

Sunshine

Sunshine is 35lbs of pure love. She was once abandoned and in desperate need of help. It is unfortunate, but these dogs continue to experience neglect and abuse in Miami-Dade county on a daily basis. Sunshine had Pyometria when she was found and had to have emergency surgery at that time. She is blessed to be alive. Sunshine is happy and healthy now- all she needs now is a loving furever home. She deserves a second chance. She is a 2-year old beauty waiting for a miracle. A reputable rescue is needed. She is fully vetted, sweet, loving and gentle!

Klaus

Klaus…our Christmas miracle! This sweet and gentle boy continues to show us every single day how much he wants to live, play and love. Not too long ago he was abandoned, lost, hungry and badly injured. Unfortunately, he was defeated, but he managed to survive in this horrific area. His body was septic and he had multiple infected wounds on his body that needed immediate medical care. It is amazing to see how hopeful he is now. He is a fighter –a redland survivor. Klaus has a huge will to live and we are so happy to have found him just in time. Klaus is recovering quite nicely and we can’t wait to show you his full transformation. He is very underweight and his wounds are healing slowly, but Klaus is determined and we are here to assist him every step of the way.
